What is a spike recovery?

A spike recovery is one method of validating that a matrix is compatible with a specific method. For an additional fee, we can run your sample with a known amount of target allergen (spike). We compare the results of the original sample, the spiked sample as well as the spike itself to determine if your sample is compatible with the method used.
